GSSC Finance Committee

Jacqueline Thong - Vice President of Finance

Jacqueline Thong is a second-year Economics and Art History student at GS. Before returning to school, she was a dancer with a touring company in Montreal, Canada. She initially joined council in 2008 as an international student representative advocating for equality in the American Language Program for International students. From this, she learnt of the separation between the student council and the general student body they serve. In 2009, she ran for VP of Finance with the hopes of financing events that can help close this gap. With this, she expanded the Finance committee and created the GS Fund. She hopes to continue working with administrators and other councils to build a true GS community.
